JORGENSEN John The lenses are the best. It's criminal to lose their use.

HUND Dirk Klosterlechfeld / München Bayern Bitte: ein ein einfaches, ansetzbares Rückteil, max. 20 MP für die Detailschärfe / Rauscharmut. CMOS reicht. Für größere und bessere Anwendungen gibt's ja die S2 mit CCD. Die Tonwertumsetzung der Canon D5 Mark II ist einfach grauenhaft, da tut einem das Makro 60mm ja leid.

ESPANHOL Rui Corroios Portugal I use the R system since my 18 years old when my pather give me one second hand R3. Since then I bought several lenses and acessories of the R System and since 2001 I have one R8 who love. It was a pain that Leica stop making the R system and I never understand that decision, however I hope Leica can change that decision and made the R10.Until there I still use my R8 whit film becuase I don´t whant to buy other camera from other MFg. If Leica make the R10 I whill buy one.
FURIA Edward Seattle Pacific Nothwest This is really a good idea to do a petition, but I am worried about whether it will do any good. Clearly, Leica, at the top and all the way down, deceived all of its loyal customers for the R line of cameras and lenses, telling us that there would be a replacement for the DMR. What I fear is that the decision not to do an R10 is a symptom of a desperate financial situation, in which they foolishly think that customers who invested thousands, even tens of thousands (as I have) in R glass will embrace the S2 now that they have said no R10. I was afraid this would happen the first time rumors surfaced that it might, so I purchase two extra R-9s with DMRs, my thinking being that maybe Leica would also stop servicing DMRs. I should add that I really dislike the results I get with Canon bodies and R lenses. Why bother? I am old enough and have lost enough upper body strength that the S2 is not for me. I think I would feel the same even if its price were cut in half. Right now, what I do for telephoto and macro shots is use one of my DMR with my beautiful R lenses. For everything else I use 3 M8.2's and might get an M9 if its issues are ironed out.
