Gentlemen&women of Leica
Many of us R users have patiently waited for more than broken promises. We feel abandoned and insignificant. Do you not realize that we do not need all of the bells buttons and whistles of your so called competition. Please give us a full frame digital. It can be as simple as taking the R9 body and fitting it with a full frame sensor. Most if not all of us need only those features to be happy. Yes we would like in body stablization and possible focus confirmation, but most of us still prefer the KISS principle and rejoice in creating fine photographs using the gray matter between our ears to create said photos. Speaking for myself I find the current crop of digitals a pain in the arse with all the choices. Something is drastically wrong when one must page through a series of menus or hold down a button and simultainously turn a dail to change a shutter speed or F-stop. Your success with the M9 and its design should be an indication of the success you could have with an R10 and the same simple pretexts applied to that cameera. |

I have several R lenses (21-35, 60 macro, 80) and they all are terrific. The problem is manually focusing them on Canon - I am going blind trying to see focus. I want to continue using the lenses, but with good manual focusing screen/digital VF and not loose full frame perspective. For landscape work I rely on LiveView, but for reportage style shooting, it is very challenging. |

A somehow affordable full-frame camera with an excellent viewfinder and basic (even manual) fanctions.
Autofocus is something I absolutely don't want or need (at least for a few more decades, until my eyes give out)! |
